Public speaking is a common source of stress for everyone who is afraid of speaking in public. People get stressed when they have to give a speech in front of an audience Public speaking is an example of a social phobia. Unfortunately, fear of public speaking can adversely affect one's career, personal life and academic achievements.

It is very common among both college students and the general public. In the case of students, this may lead to avoiding certain courses or even majors where oral presentations are required, or opt for certain careers where they would require occasional speaking before a group.

  • Be familiar with the place of speech.
  • Speak, listen and respond to your audience questions.
