What is Prozac - How To Use?

The Prozac is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic attacks, certain eating disorders (bulimia) and other mental/mood disorders, and may also be used to treat a severe form of premenstrual syndrome (premenstrual dysphoric disorder or PMDD). It may also be used to cure other disorders as determined by your doctor.

Studies have shown that a few number of people especially children/teenagers who take antidepressants for any anxiety treatment may experience worsening depression, mental symptoms, or suicidal thoughts/attempts. Prozac can help in preventing suicidal thoughts/attempts and provide various other important benefits to the patient. Prozac can also be used to cure other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Prozac works by restoring the balance of neurotransmitters in the brain, thereby improving mood/behaviour and feelings of well-being and happiness.
